Buraq Air pilot tortured and murdered: report
Tripoli, 5 August:
It is reported that a pilot from Buraq Air, was murderd in Tripoli early today, Sunday, after having been kidnapped t3o days ago by an unknown gang.
Hamza Saleh Almismari was initially kidnapped from a Buraq air crew bus, allegedly at Tripoli International Airport. The gang is said to have threatened the driver not to report the incident to the police.
The victim was subsquently tortured by his kidnappers but later released. However, it is claimed the kidnappers followed him to his sister’s house in Tripoli and then killed him in front of the family.
The motive for the crime is unknown.
