Kufra health official attacked in Sirte
Tripoli, 21 October:
The director of the ambulance department in Kufra, Ibrahim Belhassan, was physically assaulted on Saturday evening in Sirte by an armed group. The vehicle, belonging to Kufra ambulance department and which he was driving at the time, was stolen.
According to Ismael Eitah, head of Kufra’s health services, Belhassan was returning from a working trip in Tripoli where he had been meeting with officials from the Ministry of Health. He said that those who attacked his colleague had shot at the car to force it to stop. Belhassan had not been hurt.
