Benghazi hospital ward attacked

Benghazi, 15 November:
Unknown assailants tried to trash the maternity ward of Benghazi’s Jumhuriya Hospital yesterday, Wednesday. In the process, they vandalised six out of 12 newly purchased beds in the ward. They were were only delivered last week from Germany.
According to hospital staff member, Dr Nadir Kwairi, the attackers came into the ward and started smashing the beds. They then left and have not been caught.
Hospital staff say the the reason for the attack is unknown.
There have been reports in recent months of drugs gangs operating in the hospital area.
