Bonuses for remote interior ministry postings
Tripoli, 21 January 2013:
Ministry of Interior employees, including police, who are working in remote and border areas are to receive bonuses to their salaries
Interior Ministry spokesman Magdi Al-Arafi told the Libyan news agency LANA that department and security managers will receive a bonus of LD 1,000 a month, while police posted to far-flung locations and along frontiers will be paid an additional LD 40 a day. There is also a salary bonus of 50 percent for police officers and security personnel involved in operations, security patrols and rapid intervention units.
