Anticipating a drop in demand for travel during Ramadan, Austrian Airlines is paring back its flights . . .[restrict]to Libya in July and August.
“Due to Ramadan and the consequential lower demand, we have reduced a few flights on Tuesdays,” a spokesman for Austrian Airlines told the Libya Herald. Only five round-trip flights will be affected, the spokesman said, between 9 July and 6 August. Apart from these confirmed changes, the airline’s schedule will run as normal.
A spokesperson for Lufthansa said that the German airline has no plans to change its Libya flights. He speculated however, that if there were no passengers due to Ramadan, other airlines might also reduce flights. [/restrict]
