Two more murdered in Benghazi

Benghazi, 8 January 2014:
Authorities identified the bodies of two men killed in separate incidents in Benghazi yesterday.
Al-Sharis Mohammed Hassan, a member of Saiqa’s Zawiya brigade was found near the Ouzo Hotel in the Juliana area. He had been stabbed in the neck and shot. Hassan had been living in Bouatni.
The other murder victim was civilian Hussein Al-Senussi Al-Zaydeni. The Majouri resident was found near the city’s Tripoli Bridge. The motive for his murder is unclear.
There has been a recent spike in violence in Benghazi with two explosions on Monday. Military figures and their families continue to be targeted in the city as authorities grapple with the security situation.
