Two more members of the General National Congress (GNC) resigned yesterday in response to protests on . . .[restrict]7 February against the GNC’s extension.
“Ghat Congressman, Mohamed Safi Al-Ansari and Murzuk Congressman Abdulraziq Zwaiy have both submitted their resignations to GNC head Nuri Abu Sahmain,” GNC spokesman, Omar Hemidan, told the Libya Herald.
These latest two resignations were not yet official, Hemidan said, as they first needed to be announced in front of Congress. [/restrict]
