Tripoli, 2 March 2014:

The Higher National Elections Commission (HNEC) has announced the results of the elections for 47 . . .[restrict]of the  seats for the Constitutional Committee.

The other 13 seats remain unfilled because boycotts and violence on election day prevented polling in the areas taking place. Attempts to re-run the elections on Wednesday also failed.

The results announced at a press conference at HNEC headquarters yesterday, were for all 11 constituencies: Bitnan, Jebel Akhdar, Benghazi, Ajdabiya, Sirte, Misrata, Tripoli, Zawia, Sebha, Obari and Ghadames.

He said this provision had not been made and that the authorities had not admitted at any point they would be unable to secure voting on polling day. [/restrict]
