Tunisian authorities are coordinating with their Libyan counterparts in ongoing investigations into the abduction . . .[restrict]of a Tunisian diplomat in Tripoli on Friday.
The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged Libyan authorities to do their best to secure the release of Mohamed Cheikh Rouhou, in a statement issued yesterday. It added that Libya should ensure the safety of diplomatic at staff the Tunisian embassy and consulates in Libya.
“We have no information so far about the people behind the abduction of Rouhou,” Tunisian ambassador to Libya Ridha Bouakdi told the Libya Herald. “All we have been told is that he is in a good health.”
Tunisian embassy employee Cheikh Rouhou was abducted on Friday in the Ain Zara area of the capital. [/restrict]
