Samsung Galaxy S5 officially launched in Libya – with the rest of the world

Tripoli, 7 April 2014:

Samsung’s authorized Libyan mobile dealer, Tawasel, introduced the latest in the Galaxy . . .[restrict]mobile range, the Galaxy S5 to Libya’s media at a Tripoli launch event today.

Tawasel, with 15 distribution points across Libya, have been the authorized Samsung mobile phone distributor in Libya for nearly seven years. Hichem Karchani, IM Business Manager Samsung Mobiles Tunisia & Libya told Libya Herald that although the product media launch was today, the Galaxy S5  will go on worldwide sale as of Friday 11 April.

Asked about sales figures for Samsung phones in Libya, Karchani will only go as far as to say that “Samsung mobile phone sales continue to grow in double digit figures every year. We are number one in the world and number one in Libya”, he proudly reported.

Mr Somyeong Lee IM Business Manager of Samsung electronics for Tunisia and Libya said that Samsung were “proud to introduce the Galaxy S5 into Libya. We invite the Libyan people to discover a new way to enjoy life”.

CEO of Tawasel, Mohammed Muttawa said that he was “happy to give the Libyan consumer the opportunity to purchase the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 at the same time as it is launched elsewhere in the world. I thank Samsung for this”, he added.

Muttawa was particularly proud to highlight his company’s after sales services and 24 month product guarantee. We have launched our service campaign all over Libya including Sirte and Hun. We dont just sell products, we offer a service, he proudly concluded.

Ghazi Bebe, Marketing Manager Tunisia and Libya then proudly introduced the latest new features of the Galaxy S5, saying that the S5 was designed to make life easier for its users.

The new features include, amongst other, a 5.1 inch screen, a 16 MP camera with the “fastest autofocus in the market”, HDR light control technology to control the problem of too much or too little light, a shoot and choose the mode later option, an ultra power saving mode to enable extension of battery life, better water and dust resistance, faster downloading capability, finger print security capability and a health app that acts as your personal trainer.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 mobile will be available throughout Tawasel’s 15 nationwide officially authorized stores from Friday 11 April, including at its Jumhuriya Street store in Tripoli, next to Diwan cafe and opposite Philadelphia cafe.
