GNC-approved Maetig cabinet revealed

Tripoli, 29 May 2014:
A list of government ministers in Ahmed Maetig’s cabinet, approved by a General National Congress . . .[restrict](GNC) vote on Sunday, was released last night.
The list of 22 government ministers, including Maetig himself, appeared in Maetig’s Facebook page shortly after  current Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni announced that he would not step down from his post to make way for Maetig.
Speaking at a press conference in Tripoli yesterday, Thinni said he had been advised by the Ministry of Justice which declared that Maetig’s election in the first week of May had been illegal.
Four days ago, the GNC approved the cabinet of Ahmed Maetig by 83 votes to 12. 
The list of Cabinet Ministers is as follows:
  • Prime Minister: Ahmed Maetig
  • First Deputy: Abdul Karim Mohammed Al-Arida
  • Second Deputy: Khalifa Saleh Ibdeewi
  • Communication and Information: Saleh Mohamed Al-Aqta
  • Housing and Utilities: Fayez Mustafa Al-Serraj
  • Media: Khalid Osman Al-Fadil
  • Economy: Fathi Amar Wanis
  • Awqaf and Islamic Affairs: Abdullah Ali Al-Agili
  • International Cooperation: Essam Abdullatif Gurba
  • Education: Fawzia Baryon
  • Higher Education: Said Sulaiman Mayuf
  • Culture: Turkiya Abdul Hafid Alwar
  • Local Government: Abdulbari Mustafa Shinbaru
  • Interior: Al-Arif Saleh Al-Khoja
  • Agriculture: Mohamed Abdul Ali Al-Obeidi
  • Youth and sport: Abdul Salam Abdullah Ghwiyla
  • Injured and martyrs affairs: Adel Hasan Al-Maheeshi
  • Social Affairs and Displaced Peoples: Intessar Mubarak Al-Ageeli
  • Justice: Omar Abdul Al-Khaliq
  • Labour: Mohammed Al-Fitori Swalim
  • Finance: Milud Ahmed Khalifa Hamid
  • Transportaion: Abdulgader Mohammed Al-Ayeb

There are several posts missing form the list, including Oil, Planning, Defence and Foreign Affairs.
