Tripoli, 28 November 2014:
The Libyan Olympic Committee . . .[restrict](LOC) has said that it will be forced to stop all sports should attacks on its property continue.
In an emergency meeting yesterday at the Sports Federation Headquarters in Tripoli, the LOC considered a series of rais on made on the LOC Academy headquarters by, it said, members of the Libyan Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The LOC is an independent body which is responsible for the running of nearly all sports in the country. Established in 1962, it is supposed to be supported by the Youth and Sport ministry.
It decided that unless the attacks stopped and stolen property was returned, it would freeze all sporting activity.
It gave the ministry until tomorrow, 29 November, to return property to the Olympic Academy headquarters and to ensure that there would be no further assaults on the facility.
