Tripoli, 18 December 2014:

Jordan is reported to have refused to accept the presence of a delegation from the Hassi . . .[restrict]“government” in Tripoli at Monday’s meeting of Arab housing ministers in Amman.

Libyan embassy sources in the Jordanian capital have claimed that Hassi himself was planning to lead the delegation. Instead the Jordanian government invited a delegation headed by the Thinni government’s head of administrative affairs, Al-Senussi Younes Abdulaziz. The newly Libyan ambassador in Amman Ezzedin Arruz also attended the meeting and yesterday’s follow-up Third Arab Housing Conference.

Arruz was appointed by Foriegn minister Mohamed Al-Dairi during the visit to Amman last month of the House of Representatives (HoR) President Ageela Salah Gwaider to Amman last month.  He succeeds Mohammed Agheirani who was sacked by the HoR in September after he accepted Hassi’s invitation to become his foreign minister. Agheirani was back to Jordan at the end of last month was filmed in a brawl at the embassy since which he is reported to have been declared persona non grata by the Jordanian authorities.
