Tripoli: March 26 A Fokker 100 of Austrian Airlines landed in Tripoli Sunday, marking the start of regular services between . . .[restrict]here and Vienna.

An Austrian Airlines Fokker 100

Flight OS892 will leave Tripoli every day of the week except Fridays and Saturdays at 13.45 hours, arriving in Vienna at 1640 hours. The incoming flights from Vienna (OS891) arrive on the same days at 1245 hours, after leaving Vienna at 0955 hours. The aircraft carries 100 passengers.

An Austrian Airlines spokesman explained: “Due to the unrest, we unfortunately had to stop our flights on February 23, 2011. We are very happy that we can resume these flights from and to Libya, since we have a big tradition on serving this route – we initially started to fly from Tripoli to Vienna on March 1, 1981. Via our hub Vienna, we are offering access to more than 100 Austrian Airlines destinations across Europe for Libyans. With our service, we hope to contribute sustainably to Libya’s recovery and economic growth.”
