Tripoli, 1 August:

The United Arab Emirates Red Crescent Society has arranged a series of Iftar meals throughout eastern Libya. The ‘Caring . . .[restrict]for Life’ programme is being sponsored by the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and his brother Muhammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi’s crown prince. It has been organised by the president of Red Crescent UAE, Hamdan Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

The Emirati team distributed Ramadan gift baskets in Sirte, Ajdabiya, Benghazi and Beida via the local councils. These included a personal gift of Al-Dhafra dates from Sheikh Khalifa. [/restrict]
