Two arrested in Sebha bombing case

Tripoli, 17 September:

Two people have been arrested in Sebha suspected of being involved in a car bombing in the town on . . .[restrict]9 September.  They have not been named.

According to the head of National Security in Sebha, Saleh Senussi Saeed, the bombing was the work of individuals and that no organisation or group was involved. He said that the arrests came after extensive inquiries and that the accused had been referred to the Ministry of the Interior to complete the interrogation process.

The car bomb exploded outside the regional offices of the interior ministry. No one was injured although it is reported that there was some damage to the building. [/restrict]
