By Maha Ellawati.

Benghazi, 31 January 2013:

A bomb exploded at a Benghazi police station around 2 am early this morning. The explosion, . . .[restrict]at Al-Birkah police station, was loud enough to wake up people in the nearby Fuwaihat and Hawari districts. However, there were no casualties and no major damage has been reported. The bomb went off at the back of the police building.

No one has claimed responsibility for what is the latest in a long string of attacks against security in the city that has seen officials murdered and buildings attacked.

On 16 January a police officer was killed when a bomb exploded underneath his vehicle.  Two days earlier another policeman died when a bomb was thrown at his vehicle.
