A four-day workshop entitled “International Standards of Human Rights” is taking place in Benghazi. Opened on . . .[restrict]Sunday, 24 February, and running until Wednesday, the workshop focuses on the human rights of prisoners. It is sponsored by the European Union and under the supervision of officials from the Romanian Cultural Centre.
The workshop had targeted a group of about 20 officers, non-commissioned officers and members of the Judicial Police who are working in prisons in Benghazi.The hope to raise the awareness among prison staff and familiarise them with international standards of human rights. [/restrict]
