Benghazi Airport closed for maintenance

Benghazi,  29 April 2013:

Benghazi’s Benina Airport was closed today and will remain closed until 6 am tomorrow for maintenance.

According . . .[restrict]to the head of Libyan Airlines at the airport, Abdusalam Abu Al-Qasim, the runway was in urgent need of repair.

All local flights were cancelled as well as an number of international ones, including Libyan Airline flights to Istanbul, Tunis, Cairo and Alexandria. However, it is reported that two foreign aircraft were allowed to land and later take off. [/restrict]
