Tripoli, 8 May 2013:

All Ministries have members of the former regime working in them, Prime Minister Ali Zeidan revealed in his press conference this evening.

However, now that Libya has a law, the Political Isolation Law (PIL), passed yesterday by the GNC, it will be implemented fully.

Prime Minister Ali Zeidan was responding to remarks about the barricading of numerous Ministries by armed militias or thuwar in an attempt to duress the GNC into passing the PIL .

Zeidan stressed that he was not opposed to the PIL, but that in fact he felt that it was a necessity to protect the revolution.

However, he was surprised by why certain Ministries were targeted by the armed militias and not others, when he felt members of the former regime still work in all Ministries.

Zeidan was adamant that now that the legislative body of Libya, the GNC, has passed the law, the executive, his government would fully implement – as is its duty. [/restrict]
