Toyota Libya has waved goodbye to 12 graduates and welcomed 20 new recruits in a fun ceremony at the Mahari Radisson Blu Hotel.
Graduates from Toyota’s ‘Discover your Talent’ training programme gathered to receive their awards following successful completion of a three-month training programme based at Toyota Libya’s premises in Misrata Free Trade Zone.
One graduate, Abdulhamed Arousi Balous, told the Libya Herald that the course had really enhanced his CV and boosted his prospective job opportunities. He took four modules as part of the three-month course, including English language and report-writing, as well as more practical classes. “I now know how to identify problems and fix them,” Balous said, “and I then know how to write a proper report on the problems.”
At the ceremony, 20 new recruits from all over Libya were also welcomed onto the programme, and were given symbolic mechanics’ uniforms to signify the start of their training.
Toyota Libya, the official Toyota distributer for the Libyan market, runs the training programme alongside its vehicle import and distribution business. Projects Department Manager Abdurahiem Muftah told the Libya Herald that the only limitation of the training programme was one of capacity, as it is currently limited to 20 students at any one time.
“We give accommodation and sponsorship to our trainees, who come from all over Libya,” he said, adding that the next focus would be on specifically recruiting new students from the south of the country. Toyota Libya also has plans to set up a new six-month course on vehicle bodywork. [/restrict]
