By Ashraf Abdul Wahab.

Tripoli, 23 September 2013:

Local teachers claiming that their salaries are not being paid on time held a protest . . .[restrict]in Shuwarif’s town square today.  They also complained that their financial benefits had been unpaid for some time.

The protestors demanded that they paid regularly, as the law required and that they should receive bonuses and differential payments according to their seniority and responsibilities within the region’s schools. It was not immediately clear if they planned to extend their protest over the coming days. [/restrict]
