Thousands of cows and sheep are being immunised in the Abyar area on the outskirts of Benghazi in . . .[restrict]a bid to help control the spread of foot and mouth disease.
The immunisation campaign is targeting more than 450,000 sheep and cattle in the east of the country, according to Libyan news agency LANA.
The campaign, which started on Saturday, has so far seen more than 150,000 cattle in the region immunised. [/restrict]
