The head of Sayyad Local Council in the municipality of Janzour, Haj Ibrahim Mansouri, was kidnapped . . .[restrict]yesterday afternoon, according to local reports.
A ransom demand for LD 1 million has apparently been made.
Mansouri has been described locally as a very active councillor in the district, as well as an Imam at at a local mosque. [/restrict]
