There are reports that the former Attorney General Abdulaziz . . .[restrict]Al-Hasadi has been murdered in Derna this evening. Sources there say he was shot in front of his house as he returned by an assailant who had been waiting for him. he was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards
There is no further information at present.
Hasadi, from Derna, who served in both the governments of Abdurrahim Al-Kib and Ali Zeidan resigned last March, citing health reasons.
Yesterday, a local judge was wounded in an assassination attempt in the town. Halal Bufares was hit when a gunman shot at him while when he was driving on the corniche. He was not seriously wounded and after surgery was taken to an undisclosed location away from Derna. [/restrict]
