Benghazi, 25 May 2014:
Residents and business owners on Benghazi’s Dubai Street arrested suspected jewel thieves yesterday after opening fire . . .[restrict]on them as they made their getaway after robbing a jewellery shop.
The thieves were met with a barrage of bullets as they left Shebani gold and jewellery shop and attempted to escape in a Ford SUV. The robbery was stopped in its tracks and one of the criminals was hit.
The injured individual has been taken to a Benghazi hospital and the others are currently in the custody of Benghazi Security Directorate. [/restrict]
