Sousse

Tripoli, 17 July 2014.

An unidentified group tried to blow up a . . .[restrict]police station in Sousa yesterday. However, although the explosion caused damage to the building it did not result in casualties.

The attack, believed to be by Islamist militants, has shaken the peace in the town. Located 30 kilometres northeast of Beida, Sousa has seen little of the violence seen in places such as Benghazi and Derna.  There was an incident late last year when men reported to be members of an extremist Islamist group attacked a checkpoint, but since then the place has been quiet.
