Contrary to assertions by the official spokesperson for General Hafter’s Operation Dignity, Mohamed Hijazi, yesterday, . . .[restrict]Benghazi port is still operating normally.
The Ministry of Interior reported today on its Facebook page that the head of National Security for Benghazi Port, General Ali Amamy said that Benghazi’s main ports were operating normally on Saturday.
Amamy added that although the port was receiving less traffic due to fighting in Benghazi, nevertheless maritime traffic was operating from Benghazi’s ports – including the recent departure on a ship of Indian expats.
The head of Security denied receiving any threats to close the port down. [/restrict]
