Tripoli, 14 December 2014:
A senior member of Tripoli University staff was reportedly seriously injured yesterday when he was targeted, apparently . . .[restrict]by a sniper. Details of the attack on Dr Feisal Krekshi are sketchy but it is understood that shots were fired at him as he was leaving his home.
Krekshi is now dean of Tripoli University but he was once the secretary-general of Mahmoud Jibril’s, National Forces Alliance (NFA). As such, in October 2012, he was named by prime minister–elect Mustafa Abushagur as health minister in his first government. Krekshi never got to start to job because he was dropped after the General National Congress rejected Abushagur’s first cabinet.
