Saqr Adam Geroushi is to be reinstated as head of the Libyan Air Force and a . . .[restrict]general, the Libya Herald has been told. There would be a ceremony in the next couple of days to mark the event, the spokesman for the Chief of Staff, Mohamed Hejazi, said.
Along with Khalifa Hafter and 127 other military figures, Geroushi had his commission as an officer restored to him earlier this month by the House f Representatives President Ageela Salah Gwaider. He has, however, been in effective control of the LNA’s air forces since the launch of Operation Dignity.
He was removed from the position of Air Force Chief of Staff two years ago after being disbarred by the then Integrity Commission. [/restrict]
