Tunis, 6 March 2015:
The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) has transferred previously frozen overseas scholarship students’ funds and . . .[restrict]medical insurance payments, the pro GNC-Libya Dawn LANA news agency reports.
The payments for medical insurance cover apply to all Libyan students in all countries abroad, the report says.
The report issued yesterday also says that the CBL has approved the transfer of all previously frozen scholarship funds in Germany and Egypt, as per agreement with the Audit Bureau. These funds will be transferred to specific accounts opened by the Cultural Attaches in those embassies.
It will be recalled that the Audit Bureau had in December and January suspended any transfers of money to the main accounts of these embassies as a result of their failure to subject their accounts to inspections by the Libyan Audit Bureau.
It had also referred some ambassadors to the Attorney General. [/restrict]
