Tripoli, 27 March 2015:

A military commander from Misrata’s 166 Battalion has said that his battalion rescued the two . . .[restrict]Bangladeshis reported set free by the Islamic State (IS) on Wednesday, as well as a Ghana national who was also abducted.

Local media reported that the commander claimed the battalion was able to free the three captives during an operation on Wednesday which resulted in the establishment of a military strongpoint on the outskirts of Sirte.

The timing claimed by the Libya Dawn commander contradicts Bangladeshi reports that the two men were released on Tuesday evening.
