Ghariyan, 13 April 2015:

All branches of the Gumhouriyah bank branches in Ghariyan have reopened  today after damage to . . .[restrict]the fibre optic line last week was fixed. The outage to phone and internet made it impossible for the branches to conduct daily business.

However, according to communications director for the Western Mountain area,  Nuri Al-Makki, the line stopped working after fighting in the Aziziyah area caused a power outage.

Among other businesses also affected by the loss of communications was the Ghariyan passport office.
