Benghazi, 21 August 2015:

The Counter Crime Agency (CCA) in Benghazi has called on residents to report any cases . . .[restrict]of people firing on military aircraft.

According to Nasser Al-Hassi, a spokesman at Benina air base, terrorists hiding among the population in what were considered safe areas had been shooting at fighter planes as they flew on bombing raids against jihadist positions in Leithi and Sabri. Those who spot such action should inform their nearest security officials of what had occurred, the CCA said.

So far no aircraft have been hit. Neither, however, have months of airraids put an end to the militants’ presence in places such as Leithi.
