Tripoli, 28 October 2015:

In only his second statement since he became prime minister designate,  Faiez Serraj  has called . . .[restrict]for calm in the wake of yesterday’s helicopter crash near Zawia while the `’tragic incident`’, in which at least 19 died,  is being investigated.

He said it was with deep sorrow that he heard the news of the wreck of the helicopter ambulance. He offered his sincere condolences to the families of those who perished in the crash.  He added: “I commend the efforts of the wise and good people to contain the situation and urge self-restraint pending investigation, which I hope will be carried out with transparency and integrity”.

He went on to add ”These tragedies are reproduced on a daily basis and our people call upon us to redouble and unite our efforts to stop the bloodshed and make our overwhelming priority the extraction of the country from this crisis”. [/restrict]
