Tripoli,  27 November 2015:

Ajdabiya elders gathered today after Friday prayers to see what might be done to stop security . . .[restrict]chaos in  the town and the spate of murders which, since the summer, have seen at least 11 people, including two imams,  gunned down or blown up.

The meeting was held at the home of  Ibrahim Saeed Jadhran. He is the father of three influential players in the town. Ibrahim Jadhran is the federalist leader of the local Petroleum Facilities Guard, his brother Usama is one of the main leaders of the Ajdabiya Revolutionaries’ Shoura Council and another brother, Salem is the town’s mayor.

The assassination, of Mohamed Abdelhamid Emrajeh in a drive -by shooting in June,  was the first in a series of known murders that has gathered pace since September.
