Libya’s domestic voter registration closes – overseas registration continues until end of February

London, 16 February 2018:

Libya’s High National Election Commission (HNEC) announced that domestic voter registration closed at midnight last night, as had been previously announced.

The total number of registered voters was;

2,432,502 of which

Males were: 1,399,540 and

Females were: 1,032,962

HNEC reminded Libyans wishing to register abroad that they were still able to register up until the end of February using the online site: voteabroad.ly
