Italian PM Conte visits Hafter in Libya

Malta, 23 December 2018:

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and his accompanying delegation visited Libyan National Army (LNA) Commander Khalifa Hafter at the headquarters of the LNA General Command in Al-Rajma, eastern Libya today.

The standard press release from the Libyan side said the two discussed “the latest developments on the domestic and international scene, and the relations between the two countries, as well as the joint cooperation between Libya and Italy in various fields.”

Conte will also meet with House of Representatives head Ageela Saleh.
