Misrata invites offers to recycle city’s rubbish

London, 22 September 2019:
Misrata’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry has invited companies to put forward offers to recycle the city’s rubbish.
Offers are to be submitted to the Investment Committee of the City’s Public Hygiene Company in the Ship Building during official hours from Sunday 23 to Sunday 29/09/19.
Rubbish collection has become an issue across Libya with state and council budgets unable to pay council workers leading to rubbish being left uncollected on roadsides.
The state rubbish collection companies are inefficient overburdened with a huge labour force that does not turn up to work.
Moreover, NIMBYism has meant that no municipality wants rubbish dumps to be located in their locality.
