Turkey agrees to reduce age range for Libyans requiring an entry visa

London, 26 September 2019:
Turkey has agreed to reduce the age range for Libyans travelling with a Libyan passport requiring an entry visa, the Tripoli-based Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today.
Rather than the previous 65 years old, Libyan pass holders under the age of 18 and over the age of 55 now no longer need to obtain a visa to enter Turkey.
The news will be much welcomed by Libyans as Turkey is a very popular destination due to the cultural proximity and its relative cheapness compared to European destinations. Visas for Libyans were reintroduced by Turkey in September 2015.
Libyan passport holders with a current Schengen visa can apply for an online Turkish visa.
