Tadawul and Libya Insurance discuss strategic cooperation

London, 24 November 2019:

Tadawul Technology, a leading Libyan private sector e-payments services provider and the Libya Insurance Company (LIC), a leading state insurance company, discussed ways for strategic cooperation between the two entities.

At the meeting held in Tripoli last Sunday, the provision of distinctive and more effective services and products in the Libyan market regarding the use of electronic payment solutions, trading services and payments processing, were discussed.

Naaman Elbouri, chairman of Tadawul Technology told Libya Herald that his company will be providing LIC with ‘‘electronic payment solutions to its clients, whereby LIC clients can pay for their insurance premiums electronically as well as issuing health insurance membership cards which clients can use at designated hospitals / clinics for treatment’’.

‘‘The cards will be smart cards allowing the hospitals to electronically identify the coverage level of each patient’’.

For its part, LIC reported that this meeting and planned cooperation is part of its strategic aspirations and plan for the sector in Libya.
