LAICO regains ownership of its Tanzanian Bahari beach resort

Libya’s Libyan African Investment Company (LAICO) regained ownership of its Tanzanian tourist resort, Libya’s state-owned and Tripoli-based LANA news agency reported yesterday.

LANA said that ownership of Bahari Beach resort in Tanzania’s capital, Dar es Salam, was regained by its owner, Libyan state investment entity LAICO, with the help of the Foreign Ministry of Libya’s internationally recognized government in Tripoli.

There had been social media ‘‘noise’’ about the resort and the fact that some unscrupulous locals in cahoots with some Libyans illegally transferred . . .
