London, 13 August 2020:

After a series of training sessions by the UNDP and UN Women, 12 out of 20 youth and women NGOs in Libya were today selected to receive a grant up to US $15,000 each after having submitted project proposals. The NGOs will use the grants to reduce gender inequality and promote women empowerment.

The announcement culminates months of training over the past few months for the 20 women and youth organizations across Libya on enhancing ‎their institutional and organizational skills in order to reduce inequality and promote women empowerment in Libya.
