The agreement also includes the hiring of Filipino workers to cover the deficit in the Libyan labour market, especially in the auxiliary medical professions, the announcement said.
As a first stage, the agreement included the settlement of the conditions of Filipino workers in the country in terms of residences and precedence in contracting as needed, it added.
The Ministry statement admitted that the Libyan labour market suffers from a clear shortage in some technical disciplines as well as the reluctance of Libyans to work in certain occupations, adding that the selection of Filipino workers came after many successful experiences of the their employment in the health sector in particular.
