London, 1 December 2020:

The Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation of Libya’s internationally recognized government in Tripoli yesterday discussed with the Toyota Libya the training of job seekers from various regions of Libya.

The discussion came in the meeting of the Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Al-Mahdi Al-Amin, with the Director of the Training Department at Toyota Libya, Mahmoud Aghamim.

The Minister expressed the importance of the private sector’s participation in educating jobseekers and training them on technological and technical developments in various fields, the most important of which is car maintenance.

It will be recalled that in October, with support from the European Union (EU), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) reached an agreement with Toyota Libya to provide young people with three-month vocational training on car maintenance and repairing, computer skills and English among other disciplines.

Twenty trainees, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), from all across Libya, started their classes at Toyota Libya F.Z.C Headquarter in Misrata.
