The Tripoli Labour Ministry has adopted the Economic Empowerment Programme (Logo: Tripoli Labour Ministry).

London, 6 January 2021:

Libya’s Tripoli Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation yesterday announced that it had adopted the Economy Ministry’s SME Department’s Economic Empowerment Programme.

The subject was the focus of the coordination meeting held yesterday at the Labour Ministry’s Tripoli headquarters where a partnership between the Ministry of Labour’s Financial Facilities Fund and the National Programme for Small and Medium Enterprises at the Ministry of Economy and Industry was confirmed.

The meeting, chaired by the Minister of Labour, discussed initiatives launched at the recent Global Entrepreneurship Week and the importance of supporting entrepreneurship programmes to create jobs for job seekers.

The meeting also discussed the support of the electronic tool to be provided by the SME programme.

It will be recalled that the Labour Ministry has adopted a training programme for about 1,000 people as part of the National Economic Empowerment Programme launched last year.
