London, 25 March 2021:

Libya’s Transport Minister, Mohamed Shahubi said that development projects are one of his government’s top priorities and that projects that directly affect the lives of citizens in the field of transportation and the treatment of bottlenecks must be completed.

He was speaking Tuesday during his visit to the Transportation Projects Implementation Authority.

At the meeting, several measures that the government has begun to take in terms of preparing a vision for the budget law, which has been presented to parliament, were also reviewed so that the sectors could begin implementing their programmes and plans.

The Minister stressed the need to focus on the rehabilitation of international and internal airports for all eastern, central, western and southern regions, as well as attention to the main roads that suffer from neglect and significant damage.

In this regard, he stressed the need to coordinate interests to develop a detailed plan to achieve the integration of projects and to take into account the previous contractual obligations to be received from the corresponding institutions in Libya’s eastern region.
