London, 23 June 2021:

The Libyan Minister of Industry and Minerals, Ahmed Abuhisa, stressed in a meeting with the Tunisian Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines, Mohamed Boussaid, the importance and necessity of joint work and identifying effective ways to enhance partnership operations between all concerned sectors in the two countries.

The Minister’s confirmation came during the meeting Saturday, which was attended by a number of officials from the two countries, as part of a work mission undertaken by the Minister to Tunisia, which will last for several days.

The Minister expressed his hope that this visit would produce actual work results to support Libyan-Tunisian industrial cooperation and the settlement of industry and technology in Libya and to work on finding solutions to all the obstacles that might hinder the progress of joint work.

During the first day, the Minister visited the Tunisian Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Renewal and the Tunisian Chemical Complex specialized in the manufacture of fertilizers and its requirements. The Tunisian side also presented an introduction to the National Institute for Standardization and Intellectual Property and the National Centre for Packaging and Printing.
