London, 7 June 2021:

A delegation from the Italian Civil Aviation Authority visited Mitiga airport yesterday where it met with representatives from Libya’s Civil Aviation Authority and Airports Authority.

The meeting discussed security procedures and measures used in the airport’s operational process.

On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation made a field tour of some facilities inside the airport to evaluate them and ensure that security and safety requirements and standards are met.
