London, 31 August 2021:

A committee has been formed to review and evaluate Libya’s stalled projects its Minister of Housing and Construction Abubaker Al-Ghawi told Italian Ambassador to Libya Giuseppe Buccino.

The revelation came during a visit by the Ambassador to the Ministry in Tripoli yesterday.

At the meeting, the Ministry reported, Minister Al-Ghawi stressed the strength of Libyan-Italian relations in the fields of construction and reconstruction, and the participation of Italian companies in several stalled projects in the various regions of Libya.

The Minister confirmed his provision of all support to companies that own projects in Libya and whose work has not been completed, with the aim of communicating with all companies to return and complete their work.

The Ministry reported that it was agreed to schedule another meeting in the presence of the directors of the Ministry’s agencies for the possibility of activating the suspended projects and the conclusion of new contracts.
